Millennial Oblation Specifics with Illustration
Ezekiel chapter 40-48 define the presence of the new Millennial Jerusalem, along with the land portions given out as obligated location of the Millennial Priests, and the Millennial Levites. This includes the Messiah Jesus’ Temple-Palace and the separate Sanctuary with Altar.
This document created to review the Millennial territories overall as it is presented by the Bible and from the excellent scholarship work of E.W. Bullinger and his Companion Bible’s appendix #88.
For the original definitions from Bullinger, please see

The Millennial Oblation total area will be 1440 + 1440 + 720 = 3600 square miles.
We will assume that the “reed” term used in the Ezekial scripture is 12.5 feet in length.
The Millennial Oblation will contain various areas provided for a specific purpose. There are 3 large blocks that have been defined for the Millennial “Oblation” layout.
There is a large block for the Levite Portion which is 60 miles by 24 miles, 1440 square miles.
There is a large block for the Priest Portion which is 60 miles by 24 miles, 1440 square miles.
There is a large block for the City Portion which is 60 miles by 12 miles, 720 square miles. This Portion is comprised of:
a single City sub-block,
2 outer gardens on each side West and East, and
2 Princes Portions farther out from each garden, being
Westward and Eastward.
(this sub-block labeled as “B” in Bullinger’s image below).
A total of 5 sub-blocks side by side, each sub-block being 12 miles on each side, or as 144 square miles * 5 = 720 square miles.

The Priest portion will contain the Millennial Sanctuary, approx 1 square mile in size. The Sanctuary will have a boundary wall all about this 1 square mile area.
Within the Sanctuary area is a “Outer Court Wall” that will be approx 12.5 feet tall, and 12.5 feet thick, and is 1/5 mile long on all 4 sides.
Within the Outer Court wall is the Inner Court which is 625 feet on all 4 sides.
Within the Inner Court is the Millennial Temple-Palace Court (or “separate” place), which will be 216 feet square for the Temple and the Palace each, or together 432 feet by 216 feet.
In the midst of the Millennial “separate” place is the Altar, with a base of 25 feet square, and approx 29 feet for the dish. The Altar is not located in the Temple, which is just to the West of this Altar, and it is said that Jesus will live in the Temple as his home, and he will visit the City from time to time.
The Millennial Altar located in the midst of the Sanctuary.
The altar is located:
12 miles from the Southern Levite Portion boundary,
12 miles from the City Portion’s North Gate,
12 miles from the East boundaries of the Priest Portion, and
12 miles from the West boundaries of the Priest Portion.
The Altar will be in a separated area for the separated ones. Note that the Altar is not located at the Temple building.

When Jesus arrives to his abode, Ezekiel [43:4], [44:1] states he enters the “House” by way of “the gate of the Outward Sanctuary which looketh toward the East”. This gate will be used once only by Messiah, then provided for exclusive use by the Prince said to be David.
Regarding the position of the City to the new Valley created when Jesus arrives and the Mount of Olives will split into 2 halves, one half on the North and one half on the South, with the Valley thereof running West and East:
Isaiah [51:3] “For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her
waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert
like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein,
thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.”
[ed: As foretold through Isaiah’s teaching, the new Millennial Temple and Levant portions will indeed be restored to be alike Eden was back in the beginning of this Earth age.]
Copied verbatim from Bullinger’s Companion Bible appendix #88:
“That “the Possession of the City” will lie parallel with “the great valley” cloven through the Mount of Olives and running east and west (Zechariah [14:4], [4:5]) seems clear.
The “City of the Great King” will therefore be situated in a magnificent position on the north side of this great valley. No wonder it is spoken of as “beautiful for situation” (elevation, or extension). As the original Zion towered above the Kidron Valley in days gone by, so in the Messianic days to come, “Zion, the City of our God” will be seen towering in majestic elevation above the north side of the “very great valley” that will then “cleft” east and west, and through which the cleansing waters will flow Eastward to make the land, now desert, “blossom as the rose” (Ezekiel [47:8] : and Isaiah [35]). “
